Come and meet us at Oracle CloudWorld 2022
Oracle’s inaugural CloudWorld conference is running in Las Vegas from 17–20 October 2022.
We are at the Oracle CloudWorld Conference in Las Vegas which is shaping up to be great for Oracle Database developers, as you will find out when you follow the sessions and announcements.
If you are not attending in person, you can grab an Oracle CloudWorld Digital All-Access pass. The pass is valued at $299 but I’m told if you use the promotional code, “OCWDIGITAL”, it is free!

Sessions
My group’s sessions this year are all on-demand to give them maximum availability. (The general attendee passes include the Digital All-Access pass, so in-person attendees won’t miss out.)
- Getting Started with Node.js and Oracle Cloud Databases [LRN4660]
This introductory level talk showed how to connect Node.js to Oracle Autonomous Database, and also some best practices to make application efficient and scalable. - Exploring the Latest Open-Source Python API for Oracle Database Applications [LRN1529]
Learn all about the new ‘Thin’ mode for our Python driver for Oracle Database. This was an exciting announcement during 2022. - Leverage Connection Pooling and Multiplexing for Performance and Scalability [LRN1511]
My colleague Sharad Chandran recorded this talk that shows off our connection pooling technology useful for maximizing resource usage of your Oracle Database.
Hands-on Lab
We have an on-demand self-pace lab covering our Python driver for Oracle Database.
- Oracle CloudWorld 2022 — HOL0011-OD Getting Started with Python and Oracle Database (This link may only work for attendees)
You can run this on-demand at the Oracle Discovery Lab in the Database Hub at the conference, or access it from anywhere if you have the digital pass.
Demo Booth
Not everything is virtual! We are sharing a demonstration booth with our Oracle .NET counterparts. Look out for booth 102 in the Developer Hub, Caesar’s Palace. It has the banner “.NET, Python, Node.js, Go, C/C++, and VS Code with Oracle Databases in Multicloud”. I am not attending this year but you can meet some of our development team — from VPs down. They will answer your questions, and give demonstrations.
